Regret something?
The past is less old than it seems, it arises fresh right now.
Liberation
Liberation is freedom from belief.
The wise ones know nothing.
Silence and Stillness
The attitude of doership and attachment is very very noisy.
The stilling of this attitude towards what happens in the flow of life is silence.

100th Birthday Anniversary
Today is the 100th birhday anniversary of my dear guru Rameshji.
"You can't kill the ego, you don't have an ego, you ARE the ego. It is the sense of personal doership which dies. Before enlightenment there is an ego with the sense of personal doership and after enlightenment there is an ego without the sense of personal doership." ~ Sri Ramesh S. Balsekar
In gratitude and humility I bow at his feet with tears in my eyes.

Take solace and be in awe
If a profound transformational process is unfolding in you, take solace and be in awe that you're not 'doing it', but rather that it's happening.
As this becomes more and more apparent it leads to a great faith, a faith which is much more of connection than unsubstantiated beliefs. A faith that can extend to all corners of life and will transform how we relate to the other.
Peace for now.
Constricting spirit
I have no doubt that when death is imminent and I get to contemplate this inevitability, there will be a deep satisfaction with life.
A satisfaction not because of things achieved or experienced, but because of a recognition that in each moment I lived life consistently doing what I felt to do, while still keeping in mind those around me, without a pile of psychological shoulds and should-nots constricting my spirit...
Peace for now.
Blaming god
Questioner: Okay, so my question relates to God and blame.
At times I can see that the other is not the 'doer' but then the blame moves from them to God.
And I do believe God is the 'doer' and so the blame makes sense and remains.
Roger: So who or where is this God?
Q: In my imagination, as the Creator of everything and every action and manifesting as what I am aware of.
R: Correct, the point here is to highlight that you have an 'image' of a God that you blame.
Q: Right
R: So here is a concept of God which can be more useful than the one we have traditionally been given or imagine.
Source at Rest at some point explodes into movement BECOMING the entire manifestation from the beginning of time to the end. God as pure Creative Potentiality became or turned into the manifestation. God has become the victim and the perpetrator.
Source (God) didn't cognise or premeditate what it would become. Source as Infinite Creative Potentiality at some point must manifest, otherwise we couldn't say the Source at Rest is Potentiality.
So from this point of view, there is no God separate from the manifestation to blame.
Q: God had no plan? There was no agenda or "conscious" decision making? Pure potentiality erupted and had no direction?
R: Correct. It is infinite creative potentiality. It just becomes a creation. A masterpiece.
Q: Unfolding precisely, predestined exactly how it is
R: Yes. Including the appearance of a separate individual aggrieved by an imaginary God.
Q: That seems to remove any intelligence from God. Or limits it rather.
In my personified version of God, it would know what the falling of the first domino would create.
R: Pure immense creative potentiality can only actualize as what?
Q: 1 outcome.
R: Yes, a creative masterpiece
R: The idea of a thinking God is anthropomorphism.
R: The whole of life from beginning to end is the masterpiece.
And it had to actualize the way it did/does. Your thoughts and actions, this message, all part of that.
Q: I get caught here.
Because the mind starts coming up with images of suffering.
And it seems like there could be another masterpiece.
One less dirty.
R: That's all part of the masterpiece too.
The less dirty one might come next or maybe it was before, or maybe there are many simultaneous. Who cares? We are part of this one.
Q: Right.
So when I blame God I'm personifying an idea that doesn't exist?
So when someone cuts me off on the highway, and I recognize that they're not the doer, I move my blame from them to God.
But God as an entity to blame doesn't exist.
Do I have that right?
R: Yes, precisely, God has become you and the one who cuts you off.
Q: Not the creator who hit the first domino and set everything in motion according to a divine plan.
R: You are correct, God isn't the creator who hit the first domino but rather God BECAME the first, second and last domino and the force which tipped the first domino and all forces in between.
Don't underestimate the power that a false 'image' of God or for that matter Yourself can have on seeing things as they are. And while you're at it don't get too attached to the concept I've put forward of God, just use it to see how you probably have an image of God that is not true.
Q: Thank you, Roger!
The love in sadness
Sadness, when it isn't tainted by grief, regret, guilt or blame is quite a precious and amazing feeling.
At the core of the sadness you'll find loads of love and gratitude for the precious gift that was in your life.
What's most important to you?
If an extremely painful outcome were to happen and it's totally unacceptable to you; if you were then [hypothetically] granted one magical wish by God, would you use it to have the circumstance immeasurably improved or use it to have your attitude to circumstance immeasurably improved?
Such an understandable mistake
Putting all your efforts into changing your behaviour, the others' and the world, thinking that's the solution, is like a bird that's flown indoors and is stuck flapping desperately against a window pane trying to make its way into the view beyond.
It seems counter-intuitive to go in a different direction, but that's what's needed.
The happiness we are really after is not to be found in circumstance looking a certain way. Ironically, it is adopting the mentality which says that happiness is dependent on circumstance which keeps us away from the very happiness we are seeking.
See this for yourself and the chance that the desperate flapping against the window stops, gets greater.
Peace for now.
